Mommy Day Out

I'm going to be honest with you.
It's been a rough week.
I've been sick, Brad's been sick and of course Will has been sick too.
I think we cuddle too much and our germs cuddle too.

I was telling my friend the other day how I don't think I've slept in at least 2 months.
I don't think I've ever been so fatigued in my life.

This leads up to yesterday.
I have such a loving husband.
Yesterday he told me I could have the day off.
I was so excited I couldn't sleep the night before.
I was so happy to do whatever I wanted all day long.
I left our house at 9:30 in the morning.
I headed to HomeGoods and walked around for as long as I wanted.
Loved it.
Then I headed to Sarah's and we went and got pedicures.
Here she is in all her beauty:
Love her!

Here I am in Mommy heaven...
I don't think I've had a pedicure in years!

We talked and talked and talked.
It's amazing how much you can talk about without having to worry about little ones.

After pedis we headed to Red Butte Cafe (one of my favorite places from college) and talked some more.
Have you ever had the house pasta salad there? It's always been my favorite part about that place. If you haven't tried it you NEED to!

After lunch we went shopping at Gateway.
Once again the talking continued.
I found some good things and was excited for some new spring clothes.

I dropped Sarah off and headed to Target and Costco to get a few things.
While I was checking out I saw this beauty and thought "perfect treat for Mommy."
It completed my amazing, relaxing day.

Thank you to Brad and Denys for watching Will and Sasha so Sarah and I could have the day off!
Also thank you to Sarah for spending the day with me and understanding me.
I can't tell you how many times I stopped in the middle of my sentence because I forgot what I was talking about. Gotta love the mommy brain. haha

We are still sick today.
Boo...
I can't tell you how nice it is to have Brad at home with me.
It gives me a chance to recover and have energy to be sick and take care of Will on my own.

Here's to another week!
That's all for now!

My Sunday Night Tradition

It's become a tradition for me to blog every Sunday night.
Will is asleep, the news is on and Brad and I are headed to bed soon.

Today was a good day.
We woke up to a lot of snow.
Why couldn't this have happened months ago?
It's so cute because Will and Winston love to stare out of our windows together.
We spend so much time watching the world outside our house.
We love Thursdays because we get to see the garbage man hard at work.

We also had a great week.
Tuesday was Valentine's Day and Will and I drove to Provo to eat at our favorite Indian restaurant with Brad. I'm so happy Will loves Indian food as much as us.
I truly crave it every single day.

Here are my two handsome boys.
Love them so much!

Will is my little buddy.
I love spending all day every day with him.
I love his laughs, jokes, dance moves, and cuddles.
Here he is watching "Go Diego Go."

I always love shopping for him as well.
This past week I picked up these adorable rain boots.
I can't wait for him to use them this spring.

Yesterday I took my little buddy thrifting with me.
I came across this desk for $20 and I couldn't be happier.
I can't wait to paint it and make it my desk down in our basement.

I also found this amazing book.
I'm going to use it as a coffee table book but I've started reading it and it's so fascinating.
It's about motherhood and was published in 1915.
It is so interesting to me how they suggest to prepare for motherhood and for labor.
I'm such a history nerd.

Brad and I also spoke in church today.
We spoke on "True Friends" and it made me so grateful for the amazing friends Brad and I have in our lives.
We are truly blessed.
I am also blessed to have an amazing husband who let me take a 3 hour nap today.
I have been so exhausted lately and I cannot live without my naps.

Sorry this post is so random and sloppily written.
Time for bed.
Good night!

Sunday Ramblings

Here are my out of order, random thoughts for the night:

1. I am so sad Whitney Houston has passed away. I grew up to her music and she was the reason why I loved singing so much. I would spend hours in my room belting to her songs. I wanted my voice to sound exactly like hers. I feel sad that she let something like drugs take her talent away.

2. I officially signed up for a 5k in April. So far training has been going really well. I really want to do well the 2nd time around.

3. My little Will loves music so much. We ALWAYS have music on in our home. He loves to dance to anything. He also loves to steal Brad's headphones and dance to the music he hears. I also like to sing a melody and listen for him to imitate it. I'm really impressed with his love for music. I think he might love it as much as I do :)

4. This past week I got together with the 3 other Senior Class Officers from my high school. It was so great to see them all after all of these years. I think it's been almost 10 years since the 4 of us have been together. We started planning our 10 year reunion and I'm excited to get it all organized. It will be fun to see a lot of other people I haven't seen for a long time.

5. I have also been blessed to be surrounded with some really great friends as of late. I feel so lucky to have people there for me no matter what state I may be in . You know who you are and I am blessed to know you.

6. Brad got a promotion/raise at work. This has also been a HUGE blessing in our lives. It will be nice to build up savings again after buying our new home. He has worked so hard to get where he is and I couldn't be prouder.

7. Tonight we skyped with my brother and sister-in-law. I miss them so much. Hopefully a Disneyland trip will be happening this year...

8. Will has become obsessed with reading lately. We read some books 5 times before he goes to bed at night. here we are yesterday afternoon reading together. I can't tell you how much I love spending time with my boys.

Here's to another great week!

Weekend Highlights

Here are the highlights from our weekend :)

1. Friday we invited our friends the Fergs over for dinner.
We haven't seen them in years so it was so much fun catching up and meeting their beautiful girl Madeline.

2. Saturday we went thrifting and found some amazing 1960s side tables. I can't wait to redo them and show you guys what they end up looking like.

3. We met up with our friends the Fedotovs for dinner on Saturday night.
It was at a yummy Polynesian place in South Jordan.
I love them so much and I don't think I could ever get sick of hanging out with them. haha

4. Today was my little sister's 24th birthday!
We had the family over for dinner and watched the Superbowl together.
My baby sister is growing up and I can't get over it.
I love her so much and I'm so proud of all she has accomplished this far in her life.
Love you Marciepants!

We had a complete Italian meal.
Lobster ravioli (pictured below), Brie cheese and garlic ravioli, mozzarella sticks, breadsticks, creamy tomato basil soup, and salad.
We are bloated. :)

5. I hit 1,000 subscribers on YouTube!!!
I never thought I could ever reach that number by just doing my little videos.
I love having the opportunity to put myself out there and help out people from all over the world.
Thank you for your support everyone!

6. My friend Sarah and I have decided to run a 5k in April.
I am actually going to train this time so it should be fun.
:)

Happy Sunday everyone!
